I often say that food is so much more than just the sum of its parts. Calories, macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats, & protein), vitamins and minerals don't tell the complete story of how food impacts our health and well being. The food that we eat contains information that our bodies decode and use within our cells. If we are eating foods that do not promote health, or if we eat nourishing food and have trouble integrating it, we can experience imbalances.

In an ideal world, we would be able to get all of our nourishment from the foods that we eat. Based on your current health and medical history, family history, and medication usage, short-term use of supplements may be appropriate for you. My approach is always to start with food and go from there. If your circumstance indicates that supplements may be helpful, we will discuss those options together.

No matter how busy or overwhelmed you are, we can find ways to incorporate lifestyle changes that help support your health goals. We will review amount and quality of sleep that you get to see if there is any room for improvement. Additionally, we will work together to include movement and stress management techniques to ensure that what you are working on with food has the biggest impact possible.
